WOLF MASTER

This can be a difficult fight, for me it shows up around turn 50, and I don't know if taking over Wessex is required, but I had done that. If you have Soul Mirror from Ywain then you are good to go. Archers are questionable here and so is Light Cavalry. Why is Soul Mirror important? The Wolf Master will cast Breath Stealer and kill one of your heroes. It is a horrific spell. I do not take it on my heroes because I take Healing instead, which heals his whole unit, but Breathstealer is a pretty good nuke. He moves as fast as his Wargs do, so you won't have a lot of time to Shoot at him. So, there are two ways I do this, one with Ywain, easier, and one without, hard.

Put your archers as grouped up as possible Autofire Off, and no Skirmishing for sure, you want them to stay there. If you have Light Cavalry hide them off in the trees to east, his job will be to grab the Victory points after the Wargs attack. Circle your Archers with your army, Cav towards the back. If you have Balan his Gryphon Knights can make a shield wall, a nice long formation, go ahead and do that. He can grab 3 Warg groups. Basically they are hardcoded to go for your archers, don't let them get there. If you have Ywain, turn on Soul Mirror, he can cast 1 or 2 Lightning spells, but I would stick with 1 in case. If you do not have Ywain you need to focus fire Wolf Master and kite him with Garath (always on the Light Cavalry for me) while the archers shoot him and you use Dragon Breath on him and any other units as cooldowns reset. This isn't easy, Wargs move fast, but 3-4 archers should make short work of his group, Wargs have very low ranged defense.

Once all the Wargs are engaged, turn on Autofire for your melee units so they will move from fight to fight. Rear charge with your cavalry as they get freed up. I play on Hard, and this fight can be tough if you war not well prepared. More fights to follow as I get to them. I will do one for Into the Deepwood once I try it a few more times.
